We were up early again this morning. I just can't sleep any more, and it was the one thing I was always so good at! We drove down to Warrenpoint where we had a table for lunch reserved at Restaurant 23 (Lee had a Groupon voucher). We strolled along the waterfront and drank coffee in a little café to kill some time before lunch.
We drove back home through Crossgar via JN Wines to pick up an order of wine, through Newcastle before back around Belfast and home. I do like a nice drive along the coast.
Lee and I spent the day together in Belfast. We'd gotten up early and got the bus so that we could have our breakfast at St George's Market. I just really fancied an apple and cinnamon crepe and Lee had the works on his, cheese, egg, garlic mushrooms, tomato and more. It was obvious that autumn is here, the air was chilly and everyone was wrapped up and there was a buzz of festivities on their way.
We browsed the stalls, chatted and drank coffee before moving on to do some more strolling around the city. We lunched at Nick's Warehouse where we've both been wanting to eat for ages but never got around to before now. I had the loveliest chickpea falafel and finished off with lime cheesecake. Oooo yum!
I love days like these, quality time with my Lee, wrapped up warm, and full of good food.
This picture kind of sums up how I'm feeling. I still have (at least) seven weeks of growing to do and I'm not sure I can stretch any bigger! As of today, I have officially outgrown my maternity tops. The bottom of my belly threatened to pop out from under my top all day.
I have just less than two weeks left of work. Once I've finished, I think I'll be living in Lee's bigger t-shirts.
Ja, so I've been pretty uninspired when it comes to updating my blog/facebook. I'm tired and heavy and every so often a little bit irritable. So hurry up November!!
This week we've been getting things ready for the little one's arrival. We picked up the cot bedding and curtains, bought a colourful play mat and some toys and started stocking up on nappies and wipes and all the things we're going to be needing in the next few weeks. Nine weeks (or so) to go! Time really is going by fast even though I've been counting down the weeks for the last 3 months, round about the time I started my new job...
Just 3 and a half more weeks of that...3 and a half gruelling weeks. Oh (!) I can't wait for that to be over.
Once that's behind me, I can start the really exciting count down!
There's been a lot of excitement over here just recently, we're both eagerly anticipating November but on top of that, we've also booked our flights to South Africa for early(ish) next year. Baby O'Boyle must meet her granny and grandpa and we're heading back to the Cape again! I can't wait to get back 'home' again and bring with us our wee babe. We just hope she'll be a sweet-tempered little traveller!
